16 years ago. Xenon fixtures are a newer product than halogen and the bulbs are advertised to operate at lower temperatures than halogen, but they still produce a lot of heat relative to fluorescents. I recently installed xenon fixtures inside glass-front cabinets and they are way too hot.
Commercially, the xenon arc lamp has dominated the solar simulator light technology of the past 15-20 years. The xenon bulb is very close to an ideal point source of light with a relatively continuous and uniform spectrum across the solar spectrum. However, like many lamp-based simulators, the spectral intensity of the lamp decreases

Most cars manufactured with Xenon/HID and LED have automatic height adjustment, which adjusts the beams height every millisecond so that you reduce the dazzling effect on cars comming towards you. (compensating for bumps, grading on road etc.) Some LED lights (Like Audis Matrix system) also change direction of light and black out cars commingDoes anyone know if you can just swap adaptive xenons headlight assemblies with non adaptive halogens. I already had someone code out the adaptive headlights, I just want to know if there is any replacement wiring needed, or the wiring is the same. Here is the part number for the headlights I do have: 63117271 Adaptive headlights react to the steering, speed and elevation of the car and automatically adjust to illuminate the road ahead. When the car turns right, the headlights angle to the right. Turn the car left, the headlights angle to the left. This is important not only for the driver of the car with adaptive headlights, but for other drivers on
Fluorescent lights have relatively poor color rendering — 80 CRI to Xenon's 100 CRI — so they distort colors and make granite and marble countertops and backsplashes appear washed out. Furthermore, while they use much less energy than Halogen or even Xenon, they are not dimmable and some models are slow to reach full brightness.
